What do you think about the so called cougar controversy? I know the DNR doesn't think there are any but I also heard they are starting to change there
mind. Anyone hear of a study or meeting taking place on this subject?

I was actually attacked by a couger in my back yard. He jumped off my roof onto me while I was taking out the garbage. very horrible.

Too many reports not to have some of them be true. Hell they found a wolverine in southern Mi. And in my mind that is way more of a stretch than a cougar.
Besides sjhunt got attacted by one!

I think there are.... there are mountain lions in the Upper Peninsula so why not here? I think SJHUNT was attacked by the neighbor's house cat though.
He was probably out all night fishing and sipping a few suds....henceforth attracting the cat by fish guts while he was slightly impaired. His attack does not
seem credible under the circumstances!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I know some people that live in the U.P near Iron Mt. and they have a big bluff behind there house and they have seen a big cat up on the bluff last fall.

My wife and neighbor both have confirmed sightings in Black River, Michigan. It has been 3 years since that has happened. This spring we saw "Big
Cat" tracks along a remote stretch of Lake Huron near state land....
