Today I tilled up and planted a 400' x4' switch grass screen. The paticular grass was the Nebraska 28 switch grass. It will act as a thick screen on
the edge of the forest
next to my food plots.
Since the edge of the new plot was so bare of any cover I thought it would provide a good screen for the deer and some easy bedding also. I expect it to grow to 6 to 7 feet tall by Sept.
It is not a big food source more a cover for easy entrance to and from the plot to give the deer as sence of security.
We expect a few showers the next few days ,so I hope that will get it started!! WIll post some pictures soon.
